# Account settings

> Update your profile, change your password, or permanently delete your Mythex account.

# Account settings

Open **[Account settings](https://mythex.ai/settings)** (`/settings`) from the sidebar or account menu.

## Profile

* **Profile photo** — upload JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF (max **2 MB**), or remove the current photo
* **Name** — click **Change**, edit, and save (shown in the workspace and on invites)
* **Email** — read-only on this page (sign-in identity)

Google sign-in accounts use Google for authentication; password changes apply to email/password accounts.

## Password

Under **Security → Password**, click **Change**, enter your current password and a new one (min **8** characters).

Google-only accounts should sign in with Google — there is no Mythex password to change.

## Delete account

Under **Danger zone → Delete account**:

1. Click **Delete account**
2. Type **`DELETE`** to confirm
3. If your account has a password, enter it
4. Confirm — you are signed out and redirected to signup

This permanently deletes your account and **all projects** in workspaces you own. Published apps go offline. This cannot be undone.

If you only want to remove one app, [delete the project](/getting-started/dashboard#delete-a-project) instead.

Billing: cancel an active Pro subscription first from [Manage billing](/billing/manage) if you do not want renewal before deletion.
