# Credits

> Build vs runtime credits, daily free drip, top-ups, markup, and running out.

# Credits

Credits power the **coding agent** (build) and **published-app hosting & database** (runtime).

## Grants

| Source               | Size                                                          |
| -------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Free daily build     | **5 credits/day** (max **30/mo**), reset at midnight UTC      |
| Pro monthly build    | **100 credits/mo** + **5/day**                                |
| Runtime (Free & Pro) | **20 credits/mo** for hosting + DB                            |
| Top-ups (Pro)        | **50 credits for \$15** (buy 1–20 packs); valid **12 months** |

Face value: **1 credit ≈ \$0.25** of charged usage.

Daily free credits appear on **Plans & credit usage** as remaining today (e.g. “5 left · Resets at midnight UTC”), similar to other modern builders.

## How charging works

* **Build (agent):** metered at **Claude Sonnet list prices × 1.6**, regardless of the model you pick (default agent: DeepSeek Pro).
* **Runtime (hosting / DB):** provider cost × **1.6**, spent from the runtime grant first. Free **hard-pauses** when runtime is gone; Pro can continue from build credits / top-ups.

Per-message costs are **not** shown in chat — check your balance in the workspace menu or on `/billing`.

## Running out

When **build** credits hit zero:

* A nudge appears **above the chat input**
* Sending pauses until you upgrade or buy credits (Pro)
* Projects and code remain

When Free **runtime** credits hit zero, published apps pause until the next grant or you upgrade.

## Usage

Open **[Usage details](https://mythex.ai/billing/usage)** (`/billing/usage`) for the last 30 days:

* **Build** — agent spend
* **Run** — hosting + database
* Breakdown by project

See [Usage](/billing/usage).

## Tips

* Prefer precise prompts over “rebuild everything”
* Use Plan mode when exploring large changes
* Fix Preview errors with targeted asks
