# Website & app templates

# Website & app templates

Mythex publishes **marketing templates** at [mythex.ai/templates](https://mythex.ai/templates). Each page describes a niche (for example waitlist landing page, barbershop booking site, or sales CRM) and gives you a **starter prompt** tuned for that use case.

## How to use a template

1. Open [Templates](https://mythex.ai/templates) on the marketing site (also linked from the home page and main nav).
2. Pick a template or search by keyword.
3. Click **Use template**.
4. Sign up or log in if needed — Mythex creates a **new project** with the template prompt ready to run.
5. Watch the agent build the first version, then refine in chat.

Templates are a fast way to start when you know the category but do not want to write the opening prompt from scratch.

## What templates are (and are not)

| Templates **are** | Templates **are not** |
| ------------------------------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------- |
| SEO-friendly starter pages with a curated first prompt | Pre-built projects you remix or clone in one click |
| A new AI build from that prompt | Guaranteed pixel-perfect copies of a fixed design |
| Free to open — same credits/rules as any new project | A separate product from the normal dashboard composer |

There is **no in-app template gallery** inside the workspace yet. Templates live on the public site; **Use template** sends you into the normal create-project flow with the prompt filled in.

## After you start

Treat the first result as a draft:

* Edit copy, layout, and features in chat
* Switch to **Code** or **Preview** like any other project
* Publish when you are ready

See [Your first project](/getting-started/first-project), [Effective prompts](/prompting/effective-prompts), and [Iterate](/prompting/iterate).

## Stack and tech choices

Mythex still chooses the implementation stack from your prompt (default **Vite + React + TypeScript + Tailwind** unless you ask otherwise). Templates do not lock you to a fixed repo — they set the **product brief**, not the filesystem.

For stack preferences (Next.js, static HTML, Dockerfile → Fly backends, etc.), see [How the tech is chosen](/features/templates).
