# Why Mythex

> Why teams use Mythex — faster iteration, a real workspace, ownership, and publish without local setup.

# Why Mythex

Mythex exists so you can go from **idea → running software** without assembling a local toolchain, hosting stack, and blank repo first.

## Faster iteration

Describe changes in plain language. The agent edits the project, installs what it needs, and updates the live preview. You spend time on product decisions, not boilerplate.

## A real workspace, not just snippets

Every project runs in an **isolated cloud sandbox** with:

* Project files
* Terminal
* Live preview
* Optional Postgres database
* Publish flow when you are ready

That is the difference between “AI wrote some code in chat” and “AI built something you can open, run, and share.”

## No local install required

Work from the browser. You do not need to install Node, Docker, or a database on your laptop to start building.

## Ownership and portability

* You own your projects and code
* Export as `.tar.gz` from project settings
* Connect GitHub to push/pull when you want your own remote

## Built for shipping, not only demos

Mythex includes **one-click publish** to a public URL, with plan-based hosting limits. Free is for discovery; Pro raises capacity for teams shipping more apps.

## When Mythex is a great fit

* You want a working prototype or v1 web app quickly
* You need a live URL for feedback, sales, or investors
* You prefer chatting over starting from an empty repo
* You still want code you can open and own

## When to use something else

* You need **native** iOS/Android App Store binaries as a first-class publish path (out of scope today)
* You need to train large custom ML models
* You only want legal/compliance answers Mythex has not published — contact [support@mythex.ai](mailto:support@mythex.ai)
