Subagents

For complex tasks, the Mythex agent may spawn nested agent runs (subagents) to investigate or implement in parallel. Workspace chat with live preview

What you see

  • An Agent row appears in the transcript while nested work runs, showing what it is doing and how many tools it used
  • Click that row to open the run’s transcript
  • Subagent views are read-only — you do not type into them

What you control

You cannot manually start a subagent. The main agent decides when to use them. You steer the parent chat as usual (Build / Plan / Ask, Stop, follow-ups). Close a subagent tab with × when you are done watching; the main thread and project files stay.

Plan tabs

When a plan is ready, View Plan on the plan card opens a read-only plan tab (you do not type into it). Build on the card or in that tab starts implementing the plan. The plan card in chat already shows the todos — you do not need a file path.
